Early Life and Education
Jones was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, and attended John Ehret High School in Marrero, Louisiana. He played football and ran track for the Patriots. As a senior, he caught 28 passes for 552 yards and six touchdowns, and rushed for 103 yards on 15 carries. He was named to the All-State team and was selected to play in the Louisiana High School All-Star Game.

In 2010, Jones signed a four-year contract with the Baltimore Ravens. He played for the Ravens for four seasons, catching 125 passes for 1,504 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also returned 125 punts for 1,303 yards and three touchdowns, and 71 kickoffs for 1,767 yards.
In 2015, Jones signed a one-year contract with the San Diego Chargers. He played for the Chargers for one season, catching 34 passes for 438 yards and two touchdowns. He also returned 24 punts for 227 yards, and 14 kickoffs for 273 yards.
Jones retired from the NFL after the 2015 season.
